Internal Feelings Reflected in External Actions

The way you treat others is a direct reflection of how you feel about yourself - love yourself and allow that love to overflow into the lives of those around you.

I never realized the power of this statement until I came to truly understand what it meant to love myself on a mental, physical and spiritual level. Prior to this revelation of self-acceptance, my harmful and destructive thoughts were reflected in the way I treated those around me. My insecurities and fears sharpened the sword I used to bring others down, in order to make a weak attempt at improving my own self-confidence. My anxiety brought out a monster in me. I allowed that monster to swallow me alive, without any attempt to defend myself.

It was only when I came to love myself fully that I saw the true beauty in instilling confidence, self-acceptance and passion in the hearts of others. I came to see that when my heart was happy, I wanted others to experience the same happiness I was feeling. When my soul was full and my mind was clear, I was then able to utilize my energy in a positive, inspirational way. As human beings, we are designed to feel deeply and love fully. We may not forever remember the small details of our lives, but we will never forget the way someone made us feel. It is the small acts of kindness that leave forever-lasting imprints on hearts

Be your best, happiest and healthiest self. It is only then that we can lift others up to reach their full potential.
